On this episode of Passports or Pass, part of our Weekend Travel Inspiration, we quiz Daryl and Mindi from 2FoodTrippers. They are digital nomads living and working all over the world, and they’ve been doing this for almost two years. They are food experts and write some amazing food guides that will help anyone find a good place to eat while they are traveling. We hosted these two for about ten days after meeting up with them in Bohinj, Slovenia. We got rained out of our event, but we had lots of good food and laughs instead.
I first met Mindi and Daryl about a year ago in Sweden. We were all on a TBEX blogger trip discovering the incredible food of Skane, the southwestern province. After that we’ve kept in touch, and the pair came and housesat for us while we were out of the country. We missed spending some time with them on that occasion so, just recently when we invited them to come on over and stay in our Weiden apartment, we were ready to swap travel stories, drink some good wine, enjoy some pasta and sausage, and just have a heck of a good time.
Hailing from Philadelphia, on the East Coast of the United States, they had a vision of coming over to Europe and exploring the beautiful cities and diving into all of the greatest food. They’ve racked up quite a list of places they’ve spent some in-depth time in delving into the local food scenes. While they were visiting, we learned about some great places to eat in Bucharest, Zagreb, Lyon, and Bologna. They haven’t just stopped at Europe, though, they’ve also done some exciting travel in Thailand, Vietnam, Japan, and South Africa.
We couldn’t wait to put them to the test. It must be hard working and traveling in foreign countries all the time. It must put a strain on their relationship. Watch as the hilarity ensues and we grill them on some of their foods and fumbles of the last two years.

Well, as you can see we gave this intrepid couple their passports! They certainly seem to have worked out all the kinks of being on the road with the same person 24/7 for almost two full years. Whew!
