  1. When you mention the destination, the one thing that jump to my mind is the boys at the back of the car asking “are we there yet? are we still in Libya?” and so on. Ask children about destination they have loads to say lol

  2. Sorry I’ve been MIA the past few weekends – I’ve been out of town 🙂 Lovely topic this week! Anytime I visit a city I feel like all we do is walk. Of course hiking, by default, as well!

  3. True, you can have a destination that may not be very ‘exciting’ or perhaps it’s as mundane as a work related conference, etc… but the journey to and from can make all the difference – we just need to be open to it.

    1. Maria, Exactly! And as for me, I’m much more interested in the “every day” culture of a place versus the tourist bits…it’s the little things in life!

  4. I am hoping that quote turns out to be true for us as we begin hiking Mt. Kilimanjaro later this week….I am afraid after 5 days of hard hiking we’ll just want to be at the summit and done with it but I hope we can appreciate the journey!
