Sogndals-Strand, The Cutest Town in Norway

There is just no two ways about it, Norway is one of the most photogenic countries. Period.

Sogndal

Driving around Norway, we took the North Sea Coast road and came upon one of the cutest little towns, Sogndals-Strand. It was a Monday morning, and it seemed like it was closed up tight. There was only one little cafè open and it was part of a hotel. In any other country, there would have been souvenir shop after souvenir shop, but here it was a pretty little town with no commercialism to ruin the view.

Being on the coast, Sogndals is a fishing town, and as you know, I love fishing towns. I love the boats, the nets, the fishing floats, the weathered wood…I love it all, and not only did Sogndals have this, it had charm.

Most of the houses were painted the Norwegian “white” which, while not traditional, have become the norm. They had colorful, decorated doors and the whole town was just quaint. I hope you enjoy the photos.
