The river is a major source of income for the residents of Hoi An. Well before they became the tourist hand-made clothes capital of the world, the river had been providing them with a means to make money. Look at these weathered boats. You can tell they would all have a great story to tell. Walking up and down the side of the river, watching life as it had been for decades or even centuries was one of my favorite parts of visiting Hoi An.
Have you been to Hoi An? Had some clothes made? Did you take a boat ride? Walk along the river?
