We’ve all been struggling with the price of gas over the last few years. In Cambodia, their answer is to buy it and resell it themselves from soda bottles. When our tuk tuk pulled up to a stand of shelves of various colors in questionable looking bottles, I was hoping he wasn’t stopping to offer us a refreshment. He wasn’t. He was getting gas, telling us how the price of gas has gotten out of hand and it prevents anyone from driving. We did see lots of over-crowded tractor trailers and buses jammed with people trying to get to and from work. Hey, it’s happening everywhere. I don’t think I’ve been anywhere more expensive to buy gas than in Turkey. It costs about the equivalent of about $9.00 per gallon here. Can I just say….ouch!
