Try Travel! You’ll Like It! – Tip #1

Travel Tip #1

It’s a new year and ReflectionsEnroute is introducing our newest series! Each week, we’ll bring you another travel tip.

This week’s tip is simple!

Get out there! Travel!  Just try it. You might like it.

Yes, it could involve some planning. Yes, it definitely means you have to pack your clothes. Yes, you will have fun!

If you are not someone who has done much traveling, it can seem a bit overwhelming.  There are a lot of questions that will go through your mind, but like anything else once you do it, and then do it again, it gets easier and easier and even easier.  If you are like me, you will even have withdrawals when you are not traveling.  If you are like me, it will become a constant craving, an addiction!

You don’t have to go out and buy a brand new backpack, dust off your passport, and fly away to some exotic location…well, not at first. Like any new hobby, start small. The next long weekend, plan a short road trip to someplace. Maybe you love boats. Find a cute little lake or coastal town and hire a boat for part of the day. Maybe you just want to book a hotel and order room service, treat yourself!  That’s how you start traveling.

Once you do it close to home, you broaden the field. Next time, go out of state, or to the Caribbean, or even to…Europe!  If you are a first timer, look online for some great group tours to get you started and the company will do all the work for you…or take the leap and do it all yourself! It’s up to you.

Don’t worry. We know you have questions, and this new series will help you answer them. Whether you are a seasoned traveler looking to pick up some great new travel hacks, or whether you are a travel newbie we’ll have something for you! Come back here each week and see if you can learn something new!

Travelers!  What are your questions, frustrations, things you are worried about or want to avoid?  Let us know and we’ll try to address them in one of our next Travel Tips!
