Well, to be honest Carmel and Shawn, I haven’t been to many other parts of Spain recently. We’re heading there again this summer and maybe we’ll find other spots just as worthy. It might just be Spain in general!

I loooove Barcelona. Such a beautiful city, full of life and art. However, I don’t know if I could settle down there. I could settle down somewhere in a smaller city in Spain. Granada is where I spent 6 months for my study abroad and I could do it again.

These “small” moments with people as we travel are impressions that really linger…and give us, the visitor, a real feel for daily life! So much better than hanging out at the gift shop:)

There’s plenty of info out there, but here is one I really liked: http://sumo.goo.ne.jp/eng/ozumo_joho_kyoku/shiru/kiso_chishiki/beginners_guide/ . We bought tickets ahead of time, because my daughter lives in Japan. I’m not sure how you can do that, but going at the time we did, people were still buying tickets for that day. They cost about 8400 yen each for a good seat. Try to get a corner seat for the best photos. Good luck with your planning!

Love this shot. We’re going to make it to Japan one of these days, and we hope to stay for a long time…or at least as long as the money holds out.
