A little jaunt to the Hong Kong wishing tree…what fun!

Hong Kong is such a fascinating, chaotic, loud, fun city! We had had quite enough of the hustle and bustle, so we went searching for a little peace and quiet, along with a bit of quirkiness.

The Tin Hau Temple in Lam Tsuen takes a little effort to get there, but we found the bus, and it dropped us off right outside the grounds.

…or The Day I was (Almost) Taken Out by a Taxi

I love this photo, because it reminds me how surreal life can be, and along those lines, how lucky I am to be alive.

On the day I took this shot, I was overwhelmed at the busy-ness of Hong Kong. I walked all over the city capturing high rises, transportation, people working, people playing, life in Hong Kong.  I must have been really tired, when about 5:00 in the evening, I stepped off a curb to take yet another trolley shot, when…boom!

“Double Happy” Businessman

In some parts of the world, peope really would rather not be bothered by photographers.  However, all throughout Asia I found the people to really perk up if you wanted to take their photo.  This guy had been slaving away all day in his Hong Kong office, and maybe I brightened his day just a little with wanting to capture a blink of his life.   He certainly made my day, and always does everytime I look at this photo.  It just makes you feel good, doesn’t it?  Do you have a “feel good” photo?
