Barim Pension – Selçuk, Turkey

There are plenty of great accommodations throughout Turkey. Plenty. Located near the city of Efesus, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Barim Pension’s price is right, the breakfasts are tasty and filling, and the beds are comfortable. One thing that appeals to me, to make it a stand-out, is the friendliness of the people, and again Barim Pension has hospitality in spades. Not only do they have food, but they have a great little courtyard to eat in as well. The owner has also designed and built all of his iron-work furniture.

According to all we’d read, Northern Cyprus is home to the Wild Donkey or Wild Ass. Now, I know that we’ve all come across plenty of domestic asses as we go along our daily business, but going to see a “wild” one just wasn’t an opportunity I was willing to pass up.
