Traveling throught the French countryside in the Loire valley, we passed many a castle. That, of course, is what makes the Loire valley such a tourist destination. We don’t always want to go in to tourist sight after tourist sight,so on this particular day, we noticed a sign on the side of the road that promised a view of the famous Château de Chenonceau. We drove down it, parked, walked along a nice little path that followed the river, and voila! There it was. What a rgeous view…and it was free!
